The Bean Counter
The Bean Counter is a about the Official of a jelly bean counting competition. It is a character comedy about a ‘jobsworth’ who uses some unusual counting methods to count how many beans are in a jar.
The show is highly improvisatory and can be adapted to suit a range of audiences and settings- including cabaret style, evening events, children’s events and ‘club’ pop ups.
The show began as a scratch at the Clown Cabaret Scratch Night at the Assembly Roxy, Edinburgh 2015 and has since been performed in a variety of settings from music and arts festivals including Solas Festival, Latitude Festival, Deer Shed Festival and at theatre festivals Edinburgh International Children’s Theatre Festival Opening Weekend 2017, Babaró Children’s Theatre Festival 2017 in Galway, and Imaginate Scratch Night 2016.
A short period of development took place in Autumn 2017 at Graffiti Theatre, Cork.
